About Palm Springs

With one of the best climates for fine art photography (it's gonna be warm!) when we decided where we wanted to host our next Mega Muscle Photography Expo, it was almost a unanimous decision to head out to the desert of Palm Springs.  Both Mega Muscle photographers Anthony Duran and Mark Jenkins had suggested Palm Springs as a location and with our love of combining interesting architectural elements with stunning natural areas, we were sold!

Other than the amazing photographic possibilities, Palm Springs is a popular desert oasis that proudly boasts a warm and sunny climate and its casual, desert lifestyle including one of the largest gay communities in the USA.  It features legendary resorts, boutique inns and an amazing collection of private vacation homes.

The Palm Springs area also boasts some of the top shopping in the world and a collection of galleries and art studios to rival any city.   As for nightlife, in addition to a wide variety of nightclubs and bars, the Palm Springs area features several Native American gaming resorts.

The weather in Palm Springs is generally warm to HOT!  In October, the average high is 91 degrees, the average low is 57 degrees.  The Palm Springs area gets less than 20 days of rain a year and October is considered a "dry" month.  Please remember to pack sunscreen and drink plenty of fluids.
